Learn About Solfeggio Frequencies

The original six Solfeggio frequencies are a set of six musical tones that date back to the 11th century, comprising 396 Hz, 417 Hz, 528 Hz, 639 Hz, 741 Hz, and 852 Hz.

They're derived from numerology and are known for their role in the harmonies of the Gregorian monks' chants; the monks believed that these sacred tones would bless anyone who listened to the music. Additionally, these frequencies are often utilized in sound healing therapies today (think crystal bowl sound healings or Hz frequency music on YouTube) to promote positive shifts in self-healing, chakra balancing, overall well-being, and to facilitate easier access to personal spiritual development. 

Dr. Joseph Puleo added three additional Solfeggio frequencies to the original six — 174 Hz, 285 Hz, and 963 Hz — in the 1970s, using the same mathematical principles as the main six Solfeggio frequencies.

The Solfeggio Scale

The Solfeggio scale dates back to the 11th century with Guido d'Arezzo, an Italian monk who was looking for an easier way to express the musical scale in teaching hymms to the monks and their choir, so, he came up with a notation method used for teaching pitch and sight singing and the original six notes are: UT, RE, MI, FA, SOL, and LA. Therefore, the word Solfeggio originates from the Latin word solfège, which was the notation method used for teaching pitch and sight singing. 

The Importance

In the 1970s, Dr. Joseph Puleo and Dr. Leonard Horowitz examined the Book of Numbers in the Old Testament using the Pythagorean theory. Then, they uncovered a pattern coinciding with the six Solfeggio notes: UT, RE, MI, FA, SOL, and LA.

The Science

Using tuning forks, the two men studied the effects of sound on physical matter. They examined each sound wave produced by the original six Solfeggio notes — UT, RE, MI, FA, SOL, and LA — and discovered that the nodes and antinodes were divisible by 3, 6, and 9. Therefore, all nine Solfeggio Hz frequency numbers 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852, 174, 285, and 963 can be reduced to 3, 6, or 9.

Sometimes, You Need to Let Your Mom Win.

  Sometimes, you need to let your mom win.  What do I mean by that?  Recently, I moved back to mom's having gone through a divorce, an in-the-rears house sale, and a large financial setback.  Being fifty-two and independent for many years of my life, moving back home was something that I kicked and screamed about until the day came where someone bought my house and gave me thirty days to get out and find a new place.  Thirty days you think might be a long time, yet when you have three animals, and your finances and credit are in the tank, there really is no option but to move back home, unless choosing to live in my car was some sort of a reality - which it not at all wasn't.  So. I sucked it up, sold 90% of everything I had, and without help from movers or anyone, moved into a small room in the back of mom's house, which is where I'm currently writing from - and am beyond grateful for - yet it's taken me a bit to get to a place where I can much more easily...

Seeing the Truth
