Learn About Solfeggio Frequencies

The original six Solfeggio frequencies are a set of six musical tones that date back to the 11th century, comprising   396  Hz, 417 Hz, 528 Hz, 639 Hz, 741 Hz, and 852 Hz . They're derived from numerology and are known for their role in the harmonies of the Gregorian monks' chants; the monks believed that these sacred tones would bless anyone who listened to the music. Additionally, these frequencies are often utilized in sound healing therapies today (think crystal bowl sound healings or Hz frequency music on YouTube) to promote positive shifts in self-healing, chakra balancing, overall well-being, and to facilitate easier access to personal spiritual development.  Dr. Joseph Puleo added three additional Solfeggio frequencies to the original six — 174 Hz, 285 Hz, and 963 Hz — in the 1970s, using the same mathematical principles as  the main six Solfeggio frequencies . If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have the key to the universe. ...

Three Points to Know About Intuition

Have you ever had to make a decision and found yourself wavering between what your logistical brain says and what your heart says? Your brain says that it doesn't make sense to take that vacation when you have so much to do here. Your heart says to go on the vacation because you could use some much-needed rest away from the day-to-day.  You struggle with reconciling your brain's logic and your heart's logic because the heart's logic doesn't fit into your neat framework of life.   Three points to know about intuition:   1. You need both your brain logic and your heart logic (otherwise known as intuition).  Your brain's logic will always provide you with the facts, practicality, and common sense necessary for any decision. It will give you a clear and effective path to achieve the desired outcome. Your heart logic is your intuition that communicates with you regarding the decision, and it often does not follow any practical logic, straight line, or plan for the ou...

Be Confident and Unshakeable

Have you ever had a strong desire to be confident and unshakeable, regardless of life's challenges? Your navel center is the Manipura Chakra, or otherwise known as the Wheel of Many Jewels, and sits right at about your belly button. It's where your positive attributes reside, like raw, uncut diamonds waiting to be shaped through the internal work you do on yourself.  Strong navel power utilizes obstacles in your life to propel you toward victorious living, and building and developing a solid navel center helps you stay positive and be victorious even when the odds seem stacked against you .  As you develop your navel center, you'll have greater self-confidence, energy, stamina, and endurance.  Your resolve will strengthen, and you will live fearlessly and boldly, giving you that edge you seek that'll naturally spill over into your life.   When you develop an intense navel center, you become unexploitable, unstoppable, unshakeable, undefeatable, and undeniably natural...

It's Not What You Know

Have you ever wanted something to go your way, only to have it not go as planned? The next time that happens, here's some advice that was given to me years ago, which has helped me have a lot more things go my way rather than overreacting to something that'd be better handled subtly. It is a gift to be able to practice this advice daily, because each time I do, it helps me be a better person.  I hope it does the same for you:  It's not what you know; instead, it's what you do with what you know that makes all the difference in the world.   Let me break down the steps for practicing the advice above.   1. Take a look at your reaction to the thing that didn't go your way.  - How'd you react? Were you angry, passive-aggressive, taking it personally, or having an adult temper tantrum?  - If you were, your reaction was actually the major contributor to the thing you wanted to go your way, not to go your way.   2. To have the thing you want to go your w...

My Addiction To 10K Steps Per Day

A recent client of mine said to me , Well, shoot, that's an expensive way to track steps.  And my response (not out loud) to her was , M mmhmm. Totally worth it.   Recently, I made the decision to get an Apple Watch to track my steps, as I had developed the habit of aiming for 10,000 steps per day.  I'd bought a regular pedometer, a BellaBeat, and some other wristwatch tracker that, while all good, weren't exactly what I was looking for to track my steps accurately.  Enter the Apple Watch, a $500 purchase that essentially allows me to do one main thing (and other cool things): to track my steps precisely and accurately.   My addiction to 10K steps began in March of this year - a few short months ago, when I decided to join the local YMCA to get my body back into shape.  Initially, I took extra steps on the treadmill.  Then, I started taking  extra walks outside with my dogs.  Next, I began tracking the number of steps I took during my workday...

Constipation Clogs

The Importance of Getting The Crap Out. You know that toxins, in general, are harmful to your overall health, so why would you want to have them stewing in your intestines, breeding harmful bacteria? Isn't the thought of up to 19 pounds of crap hanging out in your body a motivating factor to detox your poop out? As an FYI, when you flush out the crap, your body will digest food more effectively, helping you stay svelte. One of the best ways to begin detoxing is to ensure that you have at least one bowel movement every day. Having a clean stomach in the morning -AKA having a bowel movement first thing in the morning—is the best way to prevent constipation and boost your digestive system. You may want to try drinking a warm glass of water as soon as you wake up to help stimulate your digestive system. As a result, you may experience more natural energy and have a more positive outlook on life. I know my attitude is bright and shiny after a good morning poop. How Much Poop is in Your...

Reduce Reactivity

As I continue my self-reflection journey to reduce reactivity, I uncover new patterns, thoughts, and limiting beliefs that persist and no longer serve me in my life.  And, to be honest, it's hard to do self-reflection; it's ugly and uncomfortable to look at parts of yourself and see things that don't put you in the best light. Yet, it's by looking at the shadow that you grow.  You get the opportunity to  choose a new path, direction, and flow that leads to clarity.  It was with this train of thought that I developed the five steps below, which you can master one by one to help reduce reactivity.  * Pro Tips*:  It's helpful to repeat these steps, as the body and mind learn from repetition. The more often you incorporate them into your daily life, the less you'll desire to revert to reactivity.  As you go through the steps, keep in mind an incident, person, or situation where you instantly reacted to it/them without stopping to listen or truly hear ...

The Day I Stopped Teaching Yoga

It was a Sunday , and the 9 a.m. yoga class I was about to teach was about to begin in fifteen minutes; I could expect the first student to arrive in about five of those fifteen.  It wasn't a special Sunday that I can remember. It was a Sunday in the first week of May, and the Sunday Ladies were about to arrive for their 90-minute class, looking forward to feeling awesome and rejuvenated, and then heading out in their cars to start their day, as I did each Sunday.  And, even though it didn't feel like a special Sunday, little did I know what Spirit had in store for me during that class.  It was indeed a special Sunday after all.   It was the day I stopped teaching Yoga to discover my  wants, needs, and inner yogi.  About midway through the class, I scanned the group, watching for any signs of someone needing assistance, when a message came to me very clearly.   The message was: you need to reconnect with your Yoga as a student. You're teaching, not co...

The Hook in the Wall

A few months ago, I moved back in with my Mom, her hubs Joe, and their dog Remmi. I have two dogs, a cat, and a life. Mom and I have clashed since the day we arrived. Of course, there was going to be a learning curve with all of us, animals included. And it's been rough. There have been many days when we didn't talk out loud, yet these underlying conversations were happening between us that anyone could sense.  Can you say Elephant in the Room?  I kept wondering if it would get better, and I kept asking Spirit for guidance to show me a more straightforward path because living the way we were was no way to live for either of us.  My question to Spirit was particular: Spirit, please show me how Mom sees things.   The words below are what Spirit showed me, and may inspire you.  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yesterday, my Mom got all crazy about a hook in the wall. You see, in her mind, that hook ...
